We took the train to temple square in downtown Salt Lake City, that thing is fun!
We got into the tabernacle right before they closed for an organ rehearsal, and we were allowed to stay in for a few minutes and listen... WOW... that was awesome. Our favorite thing of the day for sure.
Here is Hyrum with Hyrum...
Brigham and Brigham...

The Temple!!

Look out! (don't worry, it's a huge window)

Looking out over the city

taking a break, looking at the beautiful gardens (and taking Dad's hat)

wow, that was quite the game! I don't like watching sports, but sure enjoyed that one. Those that went had a great time.

Caleb, Brigham, and I stayed and had a barbecue with Jon and his kids. We had a real nice time. My brother Jon brought out his tree climbing gear and let Caleb climb up and use it as a swing. He loved it!
I just loved this conference... I was glued to the screen the whole time, it was sooooo wonderful.

WOO HOO
YAY!
Time to watch General Conference!
Some of my favorites:
"compared to God, man is nothing; yet we are everything to God " - Pres. Uchtdorf
"It is essential that we reject anything that does not conform to our standards" -Pres. Monson
That evening David went with Jon and Andrew to the conference center for the Priesthood session.
Afterwards, we went to the "Harsh home" (man they are HARSH! :) No, actually some of the nicest people I know!) and did the traditional conference party they've done since my Mom was little. We ate, visited (my favorite part), then told our favorite part of conference; the men told us about the Priesthood conference.
I love this tradition.
On Sunday, some of us got to go to the conference center to be at the conference... in the same room as the Prophet and Apostles... so neat.
My Mom took Sam and me to conference once many years ago. I remember fidgeting in my seat and sitting on the floor, my seat, etc. and my Mom saying, "SHHHH!!" Then when the Prophet spoke she said, "there's the Prophet!" And I knew how important it was I was there. Glad she took me.
It was really nice to go again and be old enough to sit in my seat the whole time!
